WHAT IS DOWN SYNDROME?

Down syndrome, also known as Trisomy 21, is a genetic condition caused by abnormal cell division, which results in extra genetic material being present on the 21st chromosome. Each year, 3,000 to 5,000 children across the world are born with Down syndrome. Art is often used in order to improve the health and livelihood of individuals with Down syndrome, and we hope our program will leave a positive impact on children with special needs.

We are currently partnering with Gigi's Virtual  Playhouse to provide virtual workshops for individuals with Down syndrome across the nation! GiGi's Virtual Playhouse provides educational and artistic programs at no charge to individuals with Down syndrome. All programs aim to maximize self-confidence and empower individuals to achieve their greatest potential. To learn more about how to register, please check out the GiGi's Playhouse website!
